sky hd review After i got my Panasonic high-def telly, the first thing on my brain was how long do I have to wait to get sky high def installed. I’d already seen high def films via my apple tv and was real taken, but I could not keep paying for rented films. What I genuinely needed is sky, I desired all the films and I wanted football in high-definition. I had read some sky hd reviews that I had to just stop worrying and just order. How did I order sky high definition Well I got on-line and signed up, it took about ten minutes and was fairly pain-free, much of my time was spent shuffling up the bundles, adding removing – did I truly need sky arts. I opted for the sky high definition box, the high definition bundle and the movie bundle. It was quite pricy I would now find myself paying just under 60 pounds per calendar month but would have everything I wanted in high def. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing installed, I live in flats and already have a common dish, so the sky set up was just some bloke giving me the sky high-definition box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this chaps problem. It took him about five mins, afterwards which he gave me a fast rundown on the characteristics. I just wanted him to go away so I could play with my new toy. Read sky hd review How good is the high def picture The high def picture quality is in a word dramatic. The best way I can describe it? well, I wear glasses the images on a normal telly is like seeing without my glasses, blurred, lack of detail etc. When you experience a high-definition image is like wearing the specs so much more detail, clear you start to see things that you would never see on the old picture. I found myself thinking what would the matrix look like in high definition, before I knew it I was watching all my loved films again in high-definition. Other benefits of sky high-definition Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recall the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is spectacular. The remote record feature is also a large feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the telly schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can surf the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky hd box ready to view. Free broadband – I was a little unsure about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never solved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really disappointed. So thanks to bt, I decided to opt for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt twenty pounds for the joy of their poor service. I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading trying the internet as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
